Claudio Corallo, PhD - Translational Science Claudio gained a PhD in Genetics, Oncology and Clinical Medicine at the University of Siena in 2013. His work was focused on the molecular pathogenesis of autoimmune rheumatic diseases. He then worked in the Department of Medicine, Surgery and Neuroscience of University of Siena as PostDoc fellow between 2013 and 2016, learning the most important techniques related to human tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. During these years he was also Adjunct Professor of “Medical Statistics” at the faculty of Medicine of University of Siena. In 2016 he joined Galapagos BV in The Netherlands as a Scientist and Project Leader in the Target Discovery and Validation Department with the aim to develop small-molecule-medicines with novel modes of action. He was directly involved in the laboratory research and in the translational science activities including the identification of biomarkers used for the characterization of target engagement in different in vivo therapeutic models as well as in clinical phases. In October 2018 Claudio joined Exosomics as Translational Science Manager.
