Francesca Morgera, PhD - Head of Tech. Transfer & Manufacturing Francesca Morgera gained a Ph.D. degree in Biomolecular Medicine from the University of Trieste and ELETTRA Synchrotron Light Laboratory. Her work focused on the biophysical characterization of Host Defence Peptides and their interaction with biological and model membranes. She then joined University of Massachusetts Medical School (USA) where she worked as a Postdoctoral Associate in the Biochemistry and Molecular Pharmacology Department, focusing her studies on proteins involved in vesicle trafficking. In 2013 she moved into the private sector, working in a biotech company in Cambridge (UK), which develops a new generation of antimicrobial drugs. Here she initially served as a Senior Scientist in the Process Development team and then she supervised and managed the transfer of the downstream technologies for the production of an antimicrobial drug in a GMP Bio-manufacturing facility in France. In September 2017 she joined Exosomics as Head of Technology Transfer and Manufacturing.
